| | Common Name(s) | Sailfin tang |
|
| Scientific Name(s) | Zebrasoma veliferum |
| | Family Name | | | Water Type | Saltwater | | Description | The Sailfin Tang can make itself seem much larger by raising its large dorsal fin and lowering its anal fin. It is a graceful swimmer and will help to control growth of algae in your aquarium. Smaller individuals can be kept in smaller aquariums, however larger specimens require plenty of open swimming space and should be kept in 125 gallon or larger aquarium. The Salifin Tang is compatible with a wide range of other fishes and is a great choice for the reef aquarium. It may bicker with some other tangs at first, but will usually develop a peaceful relationship with all of its tank mates. When keeping more than one Sailfin Tang it is best to add them at the same time to a larger aquarium
